Sport Pilot Training

Earn your sport pilot certificate in a Cessna 172!

Becoming a Sport Pilot is the quickest, most cost-effective way to start flying, and with the FAA’s new MOSAIC rule (Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification), the opportunities are greater than ever. Sport Pilot training lets you earn your wings in about half the time of a Private Pilot certificate, opening the door to safe, fun, and practical flying. Under MOSAIC, Sport Pilots have access to a wider range of aircraft, more performance capability, and expanded privileges. This the perfect time to begin your aviation journey!

Why MOSAIc matters for you

The MOSAIC (Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification) rule ushers in a groundbreaking new era for Sport Pilot flying with sweeping upgrades and expanded freedom built right into the regulations. Effective October 22, 2025, Sport Pilots will gain access to many more aircraft types, fly with a driver’s license instead of needing a full FAA medical, carry a passenger, and (with proper training and endorsements) operate planes with retractable gear or controllable-pitch props. What does this mean for you? In short: more choice, more capability, lower barriers. MOSAIC cuts the time (and cost) to get your certificate, opens up a much broader range of aircraft, simplifies medical requirements, and gives you the flexibility to fly smarter, further, and freer. Whether your goal is a fun weekend escape or a gateway into full-blown aviation, MOSAIC makes the sky more accessible than ever.
